Fishing this month was fairly slow but some hybrid bass in the 3-7 lb category were caught on bait. There were quite a few anglers fishing the reservoir on boats and on land. Rapalas that imitate tui chub and rainbow trout, favorite food sources for hybrid bass, are also good bets for catching these fish. This reservoir never freezes over and is a great opportunity to catch fish throughout the winter months.

The reservoir is currently being drawn down to check on irrigation infrastructure and the boat ramp is unusable for trailered boats. The reservoir will likely be at full pool again in April and at that time we will stock 4,800 rainbow trout.
