Spring Chinook season will open on April 24 from the Dug Bar boat launch upstream to the deadline below Hells Canyon Dam. The bag limit will be 4 adipose fin-clipped spring Chinook per day of which no more than 1 may be an adult (> 24 inches).  Anglers must cease fishing for salmon for the day when they retain 4 jack Chinook salmon or 1 adult salmon, whichever comes first. Fishing will likely be slow until mid-May whey more fish arrive. Remember, barbless hooks and a Columbia Basin Endorsement are required when fishing for salmon.
