Spring Chinook continues to be slow with only a few anglers still trying; however, there have been some recent reports of anglers catching a few.
Bass fishing is picking up with warmer temperatures and bass likely spawning. Shad fishing is in full swing with lots of anglers hitting the main all the way to tidewater. Common gear are small jigs.
Anglers also seem to be doing well at catching some rockfish and other marine species in the Winchester Bay area.
Trout fishing will reopen May 22.
