Agate Lake is at 61 percent capacity. Conditions are relatively good out here, but clarity is still a bit off. Surface water temperatures will be in the mid -0s. A recent report indicated good crappie fishing. Boat ramp and day-use facilities here are open and managed by Jackson County Parks. There is a 10mph speed limit on this reservoir. Lovely views of snow-covered Mt. McLaughlin Agate a nice and easy destination for anglers and wildlife viewers this time of year.

Agate Lake has a good population of black crappie and introduced yellow perch, as well as brown bullhead.
