The Trask River from 200 ft above and 900 ft below Gold Creek at Trask Hatchery (this includes the “hatchery hole”) is closed to fishing July 16 to Oct. 15.
Anglers are reminded that gear restrictions are in place May 1 to July 31 from the marker at Loren’s Drift (River Mile 9) to the Cedar Creek boat slide (River Mile 10.9); see the Salmon/Steelhead Bobber Fishing Rule on page 18 of the Sport Fishing Regulations.
Anglers will find cutthroat trout throughout the Trask, and in both the North and South Forks. Check the regulations for open areas and bait restrictions.
Spring Chinook fishing is about done in the Trask, but there are still fish throughout the system. Most of these fish have been holding for a while now and are getting dark and hard to entice to bite.
