Fall Chinook fishing continues to be steady on the Alsea. The bite can be day-to-day but anglers are catching fish every day and the numbers will continue to increase as we get further into September. A significant rainstorm is forecasted Friday/Saturday/Sunday this week and should get things stirred up in the estuaries and lower portions of the river.
There is no wild Coho retention on the Alsea for the 2021 season.
Trout fishing in streams remains open through Oct. 31. Check the regulations for open areas and bait restrictions.
