The Trask is predicted to peak above “action” stage after Thursday’s storm, and probably won’t be in shape until early next week at the best. The Trask River is a mostly wild steelhead river (catch-and-release only for wilds) with no hatchery steelhead releases, although it does get the occasional stray. With the wild fish we saw on other basins after New Year’s there should be at least a few fish around when it does drop into shape.
