Attention Boaters: There is an impassable boating hazard on the Necanicum River between Klootchie county park and the Hwy 101 boat ramps. (Exact location 45.96553, -123.92740). Boaters should avoid this obstruction for the time being.
There are hatchery winter steelhead throughout the Necanicum River fishery, and fresh fish still coming in. The Necanicum will be getting a little low by the weekend but will still be fishable. When fishing low and clear water using smaller, subtle presentations and stealthy tactics will improve the chances of success.

Santiam River ( North Fork) : River is currently running at 9,000 cfs at the gage in Mehama
Santiam River (South Fork): Currently flows are around 6,100 cfs at the Waterloo gage
Waverly Lake: This lake was stocked in late December
Alsea River: Winter steelhead fishing has slowed down
Kilchis River: The Kilchis will be a little on the low and clear side this weekend
