The Applegate is open to trout. Only adipose fin-clipped trout are legal for harvest, 2 per day. All tributaries below Applegate Dam are closed.

As of May 25, the fish counts to the trap at the base of Applegate Dam was 754, with 17 winter steelhead showing up for the week. 

You can check the USGS stream gauge flows on the Applegate to get the most up to date flow and temperature information.
