Two large fires burned in the Inmaha River watershed this summer. Areas and roads near the fires are starting to open again. However, anglers should not travel into closed areas near any wildfires. Consult the fire information websites for the Nebo Fire and Double Creek Fire for more information about the fires, forest closures and evacuation notices.
Steelhead fishing opened on the Imnaha River and Big Sheep Creek (Imnaha River tributary near the town of Imnaha) on Sept. 1. Steelhead fishing has begun to pick up, and the lower river near Cow Creek will probably be the best area for fishing throughout the fall.
Anglers should remember that wild steelhead, Chinook salmon, and bull trout may be encountered in the Imnaha River. They cannot be harvested, and must be released.

Siletz River: Fall Chinook fishing has slowed down on the Siletz
Yaquina River: Fall Chinook fishing and coho fishing has been steady on the Yaquina
Fall Creek Reservoir: Fall Creek Reservoir is currently being drawn down
Foster Reservoir: The drawdown of the reservoir for winter storage capacity has started
Gold Lake: Not accessible at this time
Hills Creek Reservoir: Hills Creek Reservoir was last stocked the week of Oct. 3
