Low and clear. The gear restrictions have been removed as of Nov. 15. Fall Chinook have started to spawn in the mainstem and tributaries. Anglers will want to avoid pulling driftboats or wading through areas with actively spawning fish or visible redds.
The wild Chinook bag limit has been reduced this year. As part of the 2 salmon/steelhead bag limit per day, anglers can retain 1 adult wild Chinook per day and only 2 for the season.
The bag limit reduction and continued gear restrictions are in place to reduce harvest on older age wild Chinook.
