The lake held at 7 percent of capacity this week. The quality bass action made a great showing this week with many fish over 5 pounds being fooled. One of our contacts reported a 7 lbs bass off Rocky Point on a green pumpkin jig. A few other local anglers reported nice bags of mix-grade fish to 5 lbs. This week the larger model fish has come on jigs, swimbaits, big worms and crankbaits. The catfish bite remains steady, and they can be found on Dip Baits, mackerel, and shrimp. Crappie can still be found but the bite is a little tougher. The best bet is to find the right structure holding fish and they’re coming on live minnows or minijigs. No trout reports this week.
