The lake held at 7 percent of capacity this week and bass fishing has been fair. One of our contacts reported fish being found both shallow (around the rocky points), and deep in 55 to 75-feet. The shallow water fish are going for crankbaits, underspins, and worms. The fish that are down deep are going for spoons and ice jigs. The crappie are still showing but most of them have been found around structure in 20 to 30-feet of water. Some larger slabs are being caught in 40 plus feet of water with minnows and minijigs. The catfish bite remains decent, and anglers are finding success with chicken liver, dip baits, and cut baits.
Trout can be caught with garlic scented baits, spinners, mice tails and worms. Boaters can find them trolling leadcore with needlefish, Tasmanian devils, and flicker shad around the dam.
