Anglers Are Still Catching Tourt in Eel Lake

Anglers fishing from a boat and from the fishing dock are still catching trout in Eel Lake. Boat anglers have been picking up a few trout by trolling with wedding ring spinners tipped with a worm. Anglers are catching trout from the fishing dock casting spinners or suspending bait off the dock. Anglers are also catching juvenile coho salmon which are not legal to harvest and must be released immediately unharmed.
Crappie fishing has been good this past week. Anglers have been catching crappies near the edges of weedlines at the fishing dock and throughout the lake. Some days these fish will be suspended in 15-20 feet of water away from the weedlines.
