Fish lake is ice free

Fish Lake is scheduled to get 500 “pounder” trout later this week. Fish Lake received 4,500 legal rainbow trout last week and fishing should be good both from shore and small boat. PowerBait is usually the bait of choice for bank anglers, but nightcrawlers threaded under a bobber are good as well. Trollers should do well over near the springs. The store, restaurant and marina are open Friday-Sunday. Call 541-949-8500 or check their Facebook page for more info. Fish lake is ice free. The reservoir is slowly filling with some snow runoff and natural spring input and is currently 46 percent full. The Forest Service ramp is launchable, as is the marina.

Alton Baker Canoe Canal: Will be stocked again this week
Dexter Reservoir: Was last stocked the week of May 2nd

Foster Reservoir: The water level in the reservoir is currently low
Green Peter Reservoir: Recent fishing reports are that the bass fishing is good
