Fall Chinook fishing continues to be fair on the Siletz but it should improve with the forecasted rain events. The river should be on the rise over the weekend and be dropping into shape next week. Expect the river fishing to pick up over the next couple of weeks.
Wild coho retention closed on Oct. 15 on the Siletz River. All wild Coho will have to be released for the remainder of the season.
Cutthroat trout are also abundant and available throughout the Siletz basin, check the regulations for opens areas and bag limits. Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31.
