The lake held at 7 percent of capacity this week. The excellent Bass bite slowed down a bit this week. The fishing has been more for quality then numbers. Over the last couple days things have gotten better and anglers are finding them on jigs, swimbaits, big worms, and crankbaits. The catfish bite continues to be solid for fish to 8-pounds reported on Dip Baits, mackerel, and shrimp. Crappie are around structure and have been caught with live minnows and various minijigs. We’ve had reports of anglers doing well for crappie and have reports of not much action at all. The key seems to be finding the right structure holding fish that can be fooled. Trout action is slow but can be found with Powerbait, trout jigs or spinners.
