8.16 lb. Striper

The great news we are getting a great striper bite both up on Lake Mohave and along our shores of the Colorado River here below the Davis Dam. Our local angler sully and his friend and visiting angler and visiting angler (yellow shirt) Mike Stone or aka Stony were trolling up on Lake Mohave in sullies boat. This striper weighed in at 8.16 pounds and was 27 and 1/4 inches in length. I have been hearing angler having some success near the power lines and near the dam on the Nevada side. Not much word from the basin area.  I know the small mouth bass bite has been going well and were are getting some great tournaments up on the lake for both large mouth bass and the smallies.

Here below the dam its mostly strippers and rainbow trout that are anglers are targeting. Our local parks community and Rotary park have been producing limits of trout and a few stripers along the way.  The trout have been landed by using various spinners and night crawlers an all time favorite. Power bait in a yellow or red also has done ok to bring a few limits of these rainbows.  The striper bite has been mostly been on glide baits with the bone or trout pattern working the best. I must say our winds have been keeping our anglers at bay both up on the lake and here along our shores it will pass soon.  We so look forward to seeing you in to share that catch and your story mostly thanks so much for all of your support.
