Summer steelhead fishing is starting to pick up on the Siletz. There are reports of fish being caught throughout the system. The recent rain and higher than normal water levels are creating good conditions for the drift boaters. The peak for summer steelhead is typically June-August.
Cutthroat trout are also abundant and available throughout the Siletz basin, check the regulations for opens areas and bag limits.
